Progress and Pacificon, New Photo Album

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

We completed the batch of parts this weekend, and several launchers were built. We are shipping some this week, and more after Pacificon. This next weekend is Pacificon, and that is going to take our time for the rest of the week and over the weekend. If you are at Pacificon, come by and say hi. We’ll be at the Buddipole booth most of the time with some launchers…

We set up a photo album on our Field Day gallery. Later we’ll set up a separate gallery, but for now this allows us to quickly put photos up. We made a pass through the photo collection and put up a few already. Some are old, many are new. One in particular that was recently requested is a photo layout of the parts in assembly relationship, rather like an exploded drawing.

July Launchers

Monday, July 2nd, 2007

We are back from Field Day and working on the July batch of Antenna Launchers. I hope everyone had a good Field Day and put plenty of antennas up high!

One thing we tried this year was multiple pulleys on the beam lifting line, giving a 3:1 advantage. This worked very well, and we lofted a large triband beam high into the space between the trees. We also put up a number of wire antennas into the treetops, ranging from 70 to a bit over 100 feet.

The next batch of launchers will be made in August.

Field Day Batch

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

The June (by Field Day) batch of launchers is in process now. There are a couple of boxes from the last batch that are about to go out, the rest are already gone. Most of the parts for the FD batch are made, and glue-up has begun. I’m going to have a busy week. My goal is to get them out the door friday or at the latest monday. We will ship UPS in a way that should arrive by the following thursday for Field Day. Foreign orders may take another day or two to ship and the shipment timing is not predictable.

The next batch of launchers will begin after Field Day, which ends the 24th of June this year.

Progress and Field Day

Wednesday, May 30th, 2007

Significant progress was made this last weekend, all launcher KITS have shipped. The assembled launchers in this batch are nearing completion and will be shipped in a few days after testing and packing.

Only one batch of launchers will be scheduled in June due to Field Day and other calendar items, and orders through June 5 will be included in that batch. Orders after June 5 will go into the July batch.

Thanks for your patience,

Field Day

This has been a busy weekend cutting and cementing, and we will be shipping a lot of product this coming week. So we have removed the ‘out of stock’ indications on the assembled launchers and they can now be ordered…

Field Day is FAST approaching! Launchers for Field Day must be ordered by June 5 at the latest! Even at that, any assembled launchers will be on a tight schedule for pre-FD delivery. KITS ARE FASTER to order. If you really get on it you can build a kit in one day. It does not take all day, but some time is required for cement drying. Allowing 2 or 3 days to build a kit is much better planning.

The June 5th batch of launchers will probably be the last one until after Field Day.

Thanks for your patience!
