The Holiday Season seems to come earlier each year. The elves are spending extra time in the workshop to finish up all the product orders and get them shipped out in time for Christmas. Make sure that all Christmas orders are in by November 30th, after that cutoff they will slide into January shipment.
We are also working on the website, so don’t be surprised at some changes and perhaps a bug or two. Let us know if you see a problem.
I’ve changed the Theme of the website, and I’m getting used to the newly updated software, so things are not finished yet. The site will continue to morph as we figure out what it can do and what we want it to look like. You can always get to the catalog pages with www.akbeng.com/catalog/ or contact us if you have a question or need something.
We made a small run of Triple Ratio Balun Kits, see Baluns. We will continue to ship balun kit orders through December.
This is a big one since it is also the ARRL National Convention.
We are preparing to make the (short) trip and clearing out as many of our orders as possible before we go. We will be bringing a couple of launchers with us, if you are interested in one look for me. I’m not sure at this point where I will be, but I plan to be in the Antenna forum on Friday, possibly at the Buddipole booth Saturday, and Sunday I speak at the HFPack forum on my Arduino SWR Scanner project in the upcoming ARRL Arduino Cookbook and then I have a Launcher presentation mid-morning Sunday. If you have time to come by the presentation Sunday and share your launching experience with the group that would be good.
My wife Dawn will be operating the Cookie Lee booth with help from my daughter Jessica and son Chris.
Balun News
Big news on the Triple Ratio Balun kits. We have designed a new PC Board and have a small run of Balun kits available. They will be with us at Pacificon at the Cookie Lee booth. My son Chris KG6LXL is selling them. They will be added back to the website when we get a minute.

Next up is Pacificon 2012 with the ARRL joining us for the National Convention! This will be a big one, and we have an Antenna Launching presentation on Sunday morning! Prior to that we will be at the HFPack forum presenting some new Amateur Radio Arduino projects. At other times you may find us at the Buddipole booth.
