FDLog Announcements

This topic is for announcements, it should have a long life and be a good topic to set to send email when it is updated (see link at lower left to enable this).

We have been working on FDLog since Field Day 2006 and have added quite a few new features. This includes:

Section Rewriting (uses alias file, rewrites to ARRL abbreviations)

K1EL CW Keyer support (see topic for this)

and many other items.

FDLog is still going strong, even while the Forums here were offline.

I had added CW capability but the laptop lost the hard drive and the backup of that partition was not working, so some effort was lost. The CW code from FDLog lives on in CWQ, so it will have to be backfitted into FDLog.

There is a new version there with a few fixes and small improvements over the previous version (which is still available at the legacy web page).

This version has the GOTA call entry problem fixed and some small improvements to GOTA scoring. The new complex GOTA scoring is NOT implemented, but this does not affect logging.
