Threaded Launcher

Saturday, March 13th, 2010

The first threaded launcher is operational. This unit launched a ball towing line 135 feet high during initial testing.

The new kit instructions will be ready soon. Orders after 3/10/2010 will be the threaded design. These are easier to assemble and more easily maintained.

This launcher will be displayed and available for sale at the Monterey Radiofest NEXT WEEKEND. Hope to see you all there.

Happy New 2010

Friday, January 1st, 2010

Today I’m working on inventory and setting up the catalog for January. There are a dozen sets of parts remaining for the CSV17 and CSV19 launchers, and the threaded launcher is not quite ready, so we will start the year with the current model. When these are sold the threaded launchers should be available.

The Mill has been repaired, a new motor controller was adapted and installed. The compressor is still out, will need to address that soon.

The new catalog pricing will shift a bit as we move some costs from the handling category to the launcher base price. So shipping & handling costs will go down while the launcher base will go up some. The total may go up slightly reflecting increases in component costs that we previously did not pass on.

We are planning to go to Quartzfest in mid January which will stop production for a week or more. Hope to see you there!

Season’s Greetings

Sunday, November 29th, 2009

We will be taking orders through November 30. During December ordering will be suspended so we can catch up, fix the mill and finish the new “T” model launchers and spend more time with the family. Ordering will re-open in early January.

Thanks to all our customers! Have a great Holiday!!

Field Day Order Status Update

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

The last orders for Field Day are out, in the hands of UPS. We are preparing for our own Field Day trip (using callsign W6PS) and will suspend shipping until about July 1. Assembled Launcher orders will also be reopened at that time.

Safe Launching!!

Thanks and 73

Progress and Schedule

Monday, May 18th, 2009

The previous two weekends we were away, so progress was significantly slowed. This weekend I spent just about the whole time in the shop and made a lot of PVC dust. Half a dozen orders went out, but many more parts were made. Next weekend will also be a good production weekend, and we should be just about caught up after that.

I had a phonecall today while I was in the noisy cafeteria for lunch. Someone wanted to talk to me but they didn’t leave a number and by the time I knew the cellphone was ringing they had hung up. It is best to exchange some email with me so we can choose a time for our phonecall. If a message is left I could return the call, or if caller id was available, but this caller left no way to return their call, and no email.
