PADS - Acronym for Pneumatic Antenna Deployment System. It is a CSV17 Launcher combined with accessories and a compact carrying case. Accessories included are the Mini Coaxial Reel and a pair of Nylon twine spools. Plus a Pressure Safety Valve and Ramrod are included.
PADS - The PADS set includes an compact carrying case. The included nylon twine spools are the 270 foot length models.
CSV17 - The CSV17 Pneumatic Antenna Launcher is the compact 17 inch long model. It has two inches less barrel and a one inch smaller diameter chamber compared to the CSV19. This results in a more compact launcher which has a bit less performance than the larger 19 inch model, still reaching in excess of 130 feet in line launching trajectory. The pressure chamber has been optimized for use with a smaller volume of compressed gas, allowing more efficient use of air and better compatibility with a good launch using just one small 12 gram CO2 cartridge. The CSV17 is designed to fit in a standard 18 inch tool case to provide enhanced portability for field applications. The CSV17 is more than adequate for the majority of Antenna Launching applications.
The Mini Coaxial reel is designed to fit in the PADS case. The circumference of this reel is about 15 inches, and it feeds line well. It comes assembled and preloaded with 125 yards of Spectra type high visibility launch line.
KIT - Launcher kits include the parts for building the launcher. They have been machined. Some minor preparation such as washing and/or sanding is required prior to assembling. PVC primer and cement is used to attach the parts. Drilling and tapping is required for installing the gauge and fill fittings. See the Launcher Manual for instructions.
NOTE - the Launcher Assembly Instructions are online. Please review them and make sure you are prepared to build the kit before ordering.
