News Update

We are catching up. All backorders have been shipped, new barrel material is on order and other parts are arriving. New orders continue to trickle in so we continue to be busy.

Recently we obtained another PowerTank (www.powertank.com). Eric had one but this one is for my kit. These are amazing large CO2 systems. This one has a 15 pound tank and a 31 CFM regulator. It will run airtools. It sure fills an antenna launcher quickly! It also tops up the tires on my truck or trailer in a jiffy (which takes forever with a 12V compressor).

The small paintball CO2 systems are really exellent for antenna launching (see our accessories page). It takes about 6 seconds to fill a launcher. The 12 oz tank will fill the launcher 20 or 30 times, and can be filled at the local paintball store for a few dollars. I like to keep the launcher uncharged right up until I am ready to launch. Then sssst and it is ready to go. You don’t have to worry about it leaking down or the safety of a pressurized launcher, and you can choose the pressure right before launch.

I ordered more twine reels. These tough plastic reels come with 270 or 500 feet of nylon twine on them. They are really excellent for antenna work. The twine is strong enough for most wire antennas, and is good to pull up heavier line with for beams, etc. I have a pair of these reels in each of my kits. My oldest pair is over 10 years old and still going strong. The twine is a bit worse for wear but still doing the job, and it can easily be replaced. 270 feet is enough for all but the really extremely tall or far apart trees. See the accessories page.
